Jenni, if you go here:

---Links-Are-Forbidden--- will see the 3 iris carts I have in my sewing room. The white ones are the older carts and the black one is newer. The drawers in the newer black cart are about 1/4" less tall than the white ones. These were purchased at Office Max and the name is Iris 6-drawer Mobile Chest. Here's the Office Max site:

Sue,

Thanks for posting the pictures. These look exactly like mine. I either

purchased mine at Office Max or Staples years ago, all are on wheels, all

have black frames and clear drawers just like these. Can you lift and

separate the solid colored part (black or white) for each drawer? Like I

said, mine are fantastic organizers - if I wish to leave them in one place,

and I have all sorts of things organized in them. It is when I need to roll

them across carpet (plush), that they are a tad resistant to roll, and if I

tug a little bit more, the separate sections tend to lift apart. I recall

really liking this feature initially, because I removed one drawer on one to

make it fit nicely under a table, and I removed the wheels on another to do

the same. I just have so many Isacord threads, and it is a pain having to

select what I need when I have stored them in plastic boxes, and then

stacked them in drawers. I don't have room to permanently place them in

drawers next to my sewing table, however, I do have room to store them

against the wall, and roll them over when needed. I am hoping the new

design will roll easier without separating.

Jenni

You're welcome, Jenni. Only the drawers come out, nothing else comes apart. I have taken the wheels off of mine so they will go under tables and such.

I bought two of these last fall. They are great with one exception, at

least for me. The drawers do not pull all the way out and I couldn't put

thread all the way to the rear of the drawer. I found my son's hand saw and

took the drawer stops off. If you have access to a band saw it would be

better, but at least I can use the whole drawer now. And the black part

doesn't come apart.
