Sorry - I also meant to ask if there are any workbooks for the 1230, or any other information?

Thank you,

Sharon

The popular material available around the 1230's era was the Advanced

Guide Workbook by Bernina. These still pop up on eBay.

I'm not sure if your friend received the instruction manual with her

machine, but if not here's a link for the 1260's manual which would be

very close to the 1230.

---Links-Are-Forbidden--- suggest your friend also consider buying at least the first 2

Feetures volumes as the info in these would still apply to her model.

Pirates do not say "please" or "thank you". The phrase "Arr, I'll

probably kill you tomorrow" is an acceptable alternative for "Thank

you". (International Talk Like a Pirate Day)

i have this machine and don't have these problems. Sounds like it needs to

go back for repair.

I only have the manual. I'm a hands on person....I only read the manual

when I get to a glitch. The stitches are pretty self explanatory. Get

some scrap thread and try each one out. It's fun! Save a sample of each

for reference in case you want to embellish a project
