For the heck of it, I got the CPS software (still in the original box!) out and installed it.. I have Windows 2010 and had no problems at all; it took less than 5 minutes total..

.

I did have to install Adobe Reader 4 (included in the CPS software) as current Adobe does not support it.. Not a big deal, as when I am done for the day I'll just run a "revert to" and both the Bernina software and old version of Adobe will be gone.

.

Once installed, you can print out a directory of stitches without even hooking it up to the sewing machine..Categories include Children, Heirloom, Home Decor, Nature, Machine Embellishment, Quilting/Handquilting and Cross (which seems to be variations on a cross-hatch).. There are a.few that I like - a really nice snowflake, some leaves - but still don't know. where I'd ever use them?

.

If you are wanting to continue on and connect to a computer you.may need a USB/serial port adapter.. The cables that come with the CPS software do not fit into current ports.

.

Peace and Joy,

Robin
