A few weeks ago, I posted about my daughter wanting to sew a dress for her daughter's first day of school next month. We (well, mainly me) were frustrated because she could not locate her sewing machine manual in her very overburdened garage. Someone on this wonderful list pointed me in the right direction and I was able to buy a replacement manual online.

Last weekend, we finished the dress in between swimming lessons, breastfeeding, sibling fights, guinea pig escapes, and potty training! Boy, that girl sure runs a busy household! Anyway, my daughter enjoyed her first real sewing experience and plans to try another project - a pillowcase for her son - all by herself! So, now we have 3 generations of sewers in our family. My oldest granddaughter has been "sewing" with Oma for about 6 months.

My daughter fell in love with some of the gorgeous coordinated prints that are available today. However, Miss Talia saw the Ariel print and would not consider anything else!

I had a blast and can't wait to sew with both of them again.
