I have a chance to buy a 200 E from someone that is too ill to use it any more, She says it has not been used much, I asked her to tell me the number of hours on the machine and she said she would check. It will be for my grandaughter (15) Does anyone have an idea as to what a fair price would be?

Thanks

Marlee

Hi Marlee,

Depending on the number of hours and stitches, $2000 - $4000 is

possible, depending on if it's upgraded to a 730 or not, comes with a

BSR or not. Lots of different things can change the price.

I have a 200/730 without the BSR. I bought it over a year ago, the

stitches are over 4 million and it's still running strong. I paid

$6000, but got the lady's complete sewing room. This included several

pairs or scissors, rotary cutters, cutting mats, a Bernina 2000D

serger, a Janome Jem sewing machine, a large collection of embroidery

thread and stabilizers, lots of extras including numerous feet and a

mega hoop. I was told that the thread by itself was worth over $2000.

I would lowball it and hope for the best. I have seen several on ebay

go for over $4000 and some go for less than $2000.

Good luck,

Allen Duhon
