yes, they will. There is one USB port on the side of the machines.

I'm not sure of the CD. Bernina abandoned support for the CD a while back

and I know that some still work but others do not. I find it just as easy

to put a CD in my computer and transfer to a USB stick to take to the sewing

machine.

Does anyone else know?

Thank you. My SIL has the converted 200 and I was thinking about getting her an embroidery packet and didn't quite know what to get. I know the cards are getting to be a thing of the past. Thanks> I'm not sure of the CD

Yes, in theory they still take a CD, IF you have the CD-ROM drive for

the machine (or have found one of the generic versions that worked.) I

still use the CD-ROM drive for my 730 if I'm in a hurry and using one of

the older CDs.

You might check to see if your sister received any software with her

200/730. Seems like some of the 200s came with some form of software

which would mean you'd have a lot more latitude in what you could buy.

You'd more than likely want to stick with ART formatted designs though.

I my 200/730 I can use a usb stick, an external cd rom, an external floppy drive, and some external portable hard drives. That is because it is Windows based and can read peripheral drives. Of course, I can still just send it directly to the machine. But I love having all of my designs on a 250 GB hard drive and accessing them from my machine!
