.Anyone have problems with their 430 screen freezing (screen goes blank) and machine stopping until it is turned off, back on then it runs for 20-60 seconds before freezing and stopping again? Took mine to the Dealer and of course it wouldn't act up there. Brought it home (without servicing) and it freezes again. Of course it's out of warranty. Only thing I can find online is that it might be the eprom card -- no idea what that might cost!

Thanks for any suggestions!

If the backlight on the screen is still illuminated but all the information goes away, it's probably the L print (power supply board).

The warranty for electronic parts is five years.

Replacing it doesn't take long at all, maybe ten minutes tops.

Re: the bobbin adjustment question a few posts back, the tension screw will increase in a non linear fashion.

The tighter you go, the quicker it becomes tighter and vice versa when you loosen it.

A graph of screw rotation vs tension would probably be an exponential curve.

If it doesn't happen at your dealer, have you considered trying it out

on a different circuit in your own home to elimination that as the issue?
