A friend of mine had her husband make her a sewing "table" out of a desk. He cut an opening in the top of the desk for the sewing machine and installed a "lift" for the machine. It works very slick!! Another friend did the same thing with two desks and they are very pleased. The desks run about $300 and i don't know how much the lifts were.

Are there any other nice lines of sewing furniture out there? Koala has just started manufacturing in the US and so far, I'm not thrilled with their new line. I loved one of their old setups but it's no longer available. I do think the new Dual Mate cabinet looks interesting for those who have two machines. I was just at a quilt store and it looks like it's going to stop carrying Koala.I'm not all that enthused about Horn....are there any others out there to look at? I like the kind that close up and look like a piece of furniture. Leone
