> 1. What is your name and what part of the world are you from?

My name is Karen and I live in West Texas, out in the country about 10 miles

from Lubbock, home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders! >

> 2. How long have you been beading and what mediums do you prefer?

After casually browsing bead aisles and the beading mags in craft stores for

a while, I finally fell into the bead-quicksand about 4 years ago and with

any luck, will never escape its pull. I started by spending a few days of

vacation working with 'Louise' in a Chama, NM bead shop. By the time I left

there I had spent a few $$$ and gained just enough knowledge to be imprinted

forever.

Currently I prefer seed bead weaving, mostly off-loom. I'm sort of

undisciplined in that I just have to try anything that catches my eye. RAW,

peyote, all these beautiful stitches just make my fingers itch! I don't know

of any teachers or classes so I just read patterns and go from there. >

I think my current project is always my favorite, but just looking at my

pieces I suppose a RAW bangle bracelet might be my favorite; or maybe the

beaded collar, or ????

ooo... Bangles are my new favorite thing to do. Do you have a picture

posted? Where did you find the pattern?
