Hi Poppy,

I'm new to the group, too. Everyone has

been very friendly and helpful to me as I

gather supplies to start beading.

Hi Poppy,

I live in Oregon...and I have beaded quilts

and cross-stitch. I'm planning to crotchet

a cuff out of sterling silver with either

pearls or semi-precious stones as my

first project.

I need to buy the silver and stones. So

many vendors!! I'm not sure where to buy.

I am sorry you lost your husband. I understand you're feeling lost.

My husband died many years ago in a

construction accident. I still miss him.

I was in graduate school so I was busy.

Really no hobbies then. A little needlepoint.

"The Courage to Grieve" by Judy Tatlebaum

is a good source of information re: grieving.

I was lost, crying all the time, scared, didn't

want to eat, I felt like someone had torn

my heart out, then my arms and said "have

a nice day".

I'm here for you...my private email

addy is: jayleegirl@....

I am so sorry for your loss. I also lost my hubby April 20th of this year. He had brain cancer and only survived 11 months after being diagnosed. I have been having a very hard time with depression but I am finding that beading is helping me. You are most likely having the same problem I'm having with the household income being cut in half. If you need to talk to someone please feel free to email me.I Know it helps to talk to someone who is going through the same thing as I am Big, big hugs, Lynn
