Hi All,

As at least some of you know, I am 100% devoted to Fireline for all my bead

weaving. My LBS has always told me that I shouldn't use Fireline with

transparent beads as the gray color will show. Yeah, right, but I

stubbornly clung to my Fireline. Now along came the beaded bottle swap, and

I wanted to use transparent beads to cover my little bottle. Knowing that

this was going to another beader, I certainly didn't want her to judge my

work as poor because the thread was showing, I dug out some Power Pro. It

says on the package that it is green, but it is the palest green I've ever

seen. The Power Pro I am using is the fishing line stuff. It is made out of

Spectra as is the Fireline. (I know that there is also the beading Power

Pro, and according to one site ( Bobby Bead ) it is braided waxed nylon.)

Because it is braided, I can't thread it on a smaller needle. I have to use

a #10. Well, guess what!!!! I now sing the praises of Power Pro. Not only

does it not show through the beads, it feels like I can pull it tighter in

the peyote stitch that I am using to cover the bottle.

JoAnn
