I've seen something new and interesting on a couple of small jewelry sites. This may be on a lot of sites and I just never noticed it before. It's a notice about Swarovski Crystal's lead content followed by a notice to California residents in particular. One said, "handling products made of leaded crystal will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or reproductive harm."

I've not put together a web site to sell my jewelry yet. Does a disclaimer such as this need to be on your site if you use lead crystal? Does anyone know the regulations? I wish I could remember the other site(s) where I saw the warning because I think the wording is different. Forgive me if it's on a lot of jewelry and supply/bead selling sites and I am just now noticing it.

Thanks,

Jan
