I have DN142's and also DH142's and a Chief II system.
If I program cv49=68 and cv50=78 to enable directional lights and rule
17 dimming in any of these decoders, the lights works okay.
The strange thing is, if I now try to read back any cv's in any of
these decoders that are set for rule 17 directional lights as above,
the display reads back either 00 for cv's that actually are 00, or 02
for all the cv's that have been set to some value other than 00, like
an address or acceleration or even cv49 & 50.
If I change cv49 and cv50 to another value other than rule 17
directional lights as above, the correct readback for all cv's returns.
Has anyone got an explanation for why this might happen or is my Chief
Thanks for the scoop.
all further readbacks of any cv, including the address, with a non-zero
value appear as 01 in the DT300
display. All zero value cv's appear as 00.
If I reset cv49=00 and cv50=00, all readbacks
return to normal. What do
you think is going on? Thanks for the answers.
