Hi,

Will the adhesive of duck/duct tape attach pink/blue foam?

I believe it will (haven't tried it), but my question is, WHY??

Duct tape is horrible stuff to work with, it doesn't hold up well over

time, and the adhesive bleeds out. What do you have in mind?

Fred,

I tried using ducktape to seal off cuts in foam for wire runs on our modular

layout. The results varied with different brands of tape. The best was a

left over roll of super sticky high temperature tape from a contractor. The

cheap stuff didn't stick at all. Based on my experience, I don't recommend

it especially for underneath applications. The tape will separate from the

foam. You might have better luck on top.

I was successful using tape to hold a butt joint on some foam. What made

this work was overlapping the tape over itself so it had something to stick

to.

George
